When you join our waitlist or interact with Lioriv, we may collect the following:

Information you give us

• Your name — so we know what to call you (first name, or whatever you'd like to share)
• Email address — to keep you updated on your waitlist status and send you early access invitations
• Food preferences & dietary context — the answer you share to our waitlist question about your relationship with food, dietary goals, or nutritive inspirations

Information collected automatically

• Device & browser details — such as browser type, operating system, and screen resolution
• Usage patterns — pages visited, time spent, and how you interact with our site
• IP address — used for general location understanding and security

We never ask for anything we don't genuinely need. If a field feels optional to you, it probably is.

How we use your information

Everything we collect serves a clear purpose:

• Waitlist management — keeping your spot, sending updates, and notifying you when it's your turn
• Personalised insights — understanding your dietary context so that when Lioriv launches, your experience feels like it already knows you
• Product development — learning what matters to our community so we build something genuinely useful, not just clever
• Communication — sending you thoughtful updates about our progress (never spam, we promise)
• Security & integrity — protecting the platform and ensuring everything runs smoothly

We'll never use your data for purposes that would surprise you. If we ever want to do something new with it, we'll ask first.

Where your data lives

Right now, during our pre-launch phase, your waitlist information is stored securely in Google Sheets — a simple, reliable system for this stage of our journey.

As we grow, we'll migrate to dedicated, encrypted infrastructure. But regardless of where your data sits, these things will always be true:

• We use industry-standard security practices
• Access to your data is strictly limited to the Lioriv team members who need it
• We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties
• We never share your data with advertisers

Cookies & analytics

We keep things minimal here:

• Essential cookies — these remember your theme preference (light or dark mode) and keep things working smoothly
• Analytics — we may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how people use our site. We're not interested in tracking you across the web — just making Lioriv better

We don't use aggressive tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or third-party advertising scripts. Your browsing remains your own.

Your rights

Your data belongs to you, always. Here's what you can ask us to do at any time:

• Access — request a copy of all the information we have about you
• Correction — ask us to fix anything that's inaccurate
• Deletion — ask us to delete your data entirely. We'll do it promptly, no questions asked
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format
• Withdraw consent — change your mind about anything, anytime
• Restrict processing — limit how we use your data while we address any concern you may have

To exercise any of these rights, simply write to us at hello@lioriv.com. We respond within 72 hours — usually much sooner.

How long we keep your data

We hold onto your information only as long as it's useful and relevant:

• Waitlist data — retained until you gain access to Lioriv or ask us to remove it
• Account data (post-launch) — kept for the duration of your active account, plus a short grace period
• Analytics data — aggregated and anonymised, so it's not tied to you as an individual

When we no longer need your data, we delete it securely. Not archived. Not "deactivated." Deleted.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted services to run Lioriv:

• Google Workspace — for secure data storage during our pre-launch phase
• Font hosting (Google Fonts) — for the typefaces you see on this page

Each service we use is evaluated for their own privacy practices. We don't work with services that have poor data ethics.

We never sell, license, or provide your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Children's privacy

Lioriv is designed for individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared information with us, please reach out to hello@lioriv.com and we'll remove it immediately.

Indian data protection compliance

Lioriv is based in India, and we are committed to complying with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Under the DPDP Act, you are a Data Principal, and Lioriv acts as a Data Fiduciary. This means:

• We process your personal data only with your informed consent or for legitimate purposes as defined under the Act
• You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data
• You may nominate another person to exercise your data rights on your behalf
• You have the right to grievance redressal — we will acknowledge and resolve any complaint within the timelines prescribed by the Act
• We take reasonable security safeguards to protect your data from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure

If your data is ever transferred outside India, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable regulations.

For our international friends

If you're visiting from the EU, UK, or anywhere with privacy regulations like GDPR, know that we respect those frameworks too. The rights listed above apply to you equally.

Your data may be processed in India, where Lioriv is based. By using our service, you acknowledge this transfer. We ensure your data receives the same level of care regardless of where it's processed.

Changes to this policy

As Lioriv evolves, this policy might too. When we make meaningful changes, we'll:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Notify you via email if the changes are significant
• Never reduce your rights without asking for your consent first

We encourage you to revisit this page occasionally. But honestly, if something big changes, you'll hear from us directly.
